Extravagant Places on HomeAway

HomeAway is a place many people go to for a cheap place to stay on vacation. They often boast rates that are hundreds of dollars less than a nice hotel, but often with a better atmosphere. However, some people go to HomeAway not to find the cheapest place to stay, but rather, to find the most luxurious places to stay. You may want an extravagant mansion for your wedding party to stay in, or you may just enjoy the finer things in life. Either way, here are some of the most extravagant (and expensive) places on HomeAway.

Chateau de Farcheville

This chateau, located in Essonne, France, costs $15,000 per night, but the experience is well worth the price tag. The estate boasts 14 bedrooms, 12 full baths, and 3 half baths, so you can easily fit the maximum 33 people with room to spare. Some of the amenities include an indoor pool, a study, a grand dining hall, and themed rooms that will make you feel like you’re living in the world of Game of Thrones. The 25 acres surrounding the castle are the perfect venue for a wedding, and there are multiple reviews on the property stating that it was a wonderful place to get married.

Ani Villas

If you’re traveling to Asia and you have plenty of money to spare — $11,000 to be exact — you can stay at the Ani Villas in Thailand. This 10 bedroom, 10 ½ bath resort can hold 20 people, so large families are perfect for a trip here. The property includes a gigantic pool (with a waterslide), lush greenery, and a full staff. This beachfront property is decorated with a mixture of modern and traditional Thai luxuries. Staying here would ensure an unforgettable tropical getaway.

Tagomago Luxury Villa

Located off of Ibiza Island, this villa comes in at a whopping $23,357 per night. The price comes from its many features, such as its modern architecture, which incorporate an open floor plan. The kitchen is another standout feature, which looks right out of a Michelin-starred restaurant. While this villa is much smaller than the others, with the ability to sleep a mere 10 people, it is situated on a private island, which is perfect if you are looking to stay away from civilization for a few days.

Beachfront Property in Lahaina, Hawaii

Hawaii is a beautiful state, and the perfect place to run a super expensive HomeAway property. At $11,000 per day, this 11,000 square foot home sleeps 16 people and requires a minimum 7-day stay. You’ll find beautiful modern perks, such as an outdoor pool next to an open dining room/game room with a pool table. There are also large bedrooms and a private gym. Much of the home has an open floor plan, so you’ll feel like you’re in a mansion, but the bedrooms still maintain their privacy while not skimping on luxury.

I love extraordinary properties, and these are no exception. Staying in a home like one of these is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you’ve ever stayed in a mansion, tweet me to let me know!
